Help with Driftlight for iPhone and Mac.

Set a Live Photo as your Lock Screen

1. In Driftlight, tap Save Live Photo to Photos.
2. Open Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper → Photos.
3. Choose the photo you saved (it shows a LIVE badge).
4. Turn on the Live Photo button at the bottom left, then tap Add.
5. Lock the phone and wake it to see the motion.

The wallpaper doesn’t move

• Low Power Mode stops wallpaper motion. Turn it off in Settings → Battery.
• iPhone SE doesn’t play Live Photo wallpapers and shows the still image.
• If the Live Photo button is greyed out, pick the photo again from Photos rather than from an album preview.
• The motion plays once each time you wake the phone, then settles on the still. It does not loop.

Find Driftlight on Mac

Driftlight is a menu bar app with no Dock icon. Click the sparkles icon in the menu bar to change the scene or palette, turn the live desktop on or off, or choose Open Studio… for all settings.

The desktop scene isn’t moving on Mac

Driftlight pauses on purpose to save power, and the menu shows the reason:

• A display is asleep
• The Mac is on battery and “Pause on battery” is on (Studio → Desktop)
• Low Power Mode is on, or the Mac is running hot
• A full-screen app covers that display

Restore a purchase

Complete is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account and works on iPhone and Mac. On a new device, open the unlock screen (iPhone) or Studio → Purchases (Mac) and choose Restore Purchases.

Remove Driftlight from a Mac

1. If you turned on “Open at login,” turn it off in Studio → Desktop.
2. Choose Quit Driftlight from the menu bar icon.
3. Move Driftlight from Applications to the Trash. Driftlight installs no helpers or background services.
